SC-TOOLBOX
Terms of Service
The rules for using SC-Toolbox: the website and the desktop launcher. Short and in plain words.
Who provides it
SC-Toolbox is a free hobby project, run by one person. It is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or run by Cloud Imperium Games or Roberts Space Industries.
Using SC-Toolbox
The website and the launcher are free to use. They are provided as they are: features may change, and the service may be paused or stopped at any time. By using them you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
Your account
- You sign in with Discord. One account per person; keep your Discord account safe, since it is your key to SC-Toolbox.
- If you link an RSI account, it must be your own RSI handle. Your orgs and ranks come from it.
Fair use
Please don't:
- use events or sign-ups to spam, harass or abuse anyone;
- pretend to be someone else, or link an RSI account that isn't yours;
- scrape the site, or hammer it with automated requests;
- try to get around permissions, rate limits or other protections;
- use SC-Toolbox for anything illegal or against the game's own rules.
Orgs
Org leaders decide who plans their events, and whether to connect a Discord webhook for event notices. They are responsible for where they connect it and what they post.
Your content
What you write (event titles, briefings, notes) stays yours. You allow SC-Toolbox to store it and show it where you asked: on the site, in the launcher, and in your org's Discord webhook notices. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
Game data and images
Ship, item and location data comes from the public game files and community sources; images come from the official Fankit. They are used under Cloud Imperium Games' fan content terms and remain the property of their owners. Game data can be out of date or wrong: check in game before you spend your aUEC.
Use it at your own risk
SC-Toolbox is free and made in spare time. It comes as it is, with no guarantees: things can break, data can be wrong, and the creator can't take responsibility for what happens when you use it, whether that's a lost ship, a missed op or anything else.
Ending
You can stop using SC-Toolbox and delete your account in Account settings at any time. Accounts that break these terms may be suspended or deleted.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top shows the last change; bigger changes are announced on the site.
